Quickstart
Connect a wallet, launch a coin and make your first trade.
You need a Solana wallet with some SOL. Any wallet that supports the Solana wallet standard works. Keep a little extra SOL for network fees and account rent.
Connect
Open the app and choose Connect in the top right. Pick your wallet and approve the connection. Halo reads your public address only; it never asks for a seed phrase or a private key.
Buy a coin
- Open a coin from the board.
- In the trade panel choose Buy, enter an amount in SOL, and check the quote. The quote shows the tokens you receive and the 1.56% fee, and is computed from the pool's on-chain state at the moment you request it. A fresh quote is taken again just before you sign, so the slippage limit is set from current prices.
- Set your slippage tolerance. The default protects you from the price moving between the quote and your transaction landing.
- Approve the transaction in your wallet.
The first trades on a new coin move the price faster than later ones because the curve starts steep. Read Trading and the curve before you size a buy.
Sell a coin
Choose Sell on the same panel, enter an amount of tokens or use a percentage of your balance, review the SOL you receive after the fee, and approve. Sells are available at any point on the curve. After graduation the coin trades on a Meteora DAMM v2 pool; the coin page links to Jupiter and DexScreener for it.
Launch a coin
- Choose Launch in the navigation.
- Add the name, symbol, image and description. Social links are optional.
- Optionally add a first buy in SOL. It is included in the same transaction as the launch.
- Approve the transaction. When it confirms, your coin has its own page.
Field limits, image rules and what happens on chain are in Launching a coin.
Collect what you earn
The Rewards page shows what you can claim as a creator. Creator fees are claimed with your own wallet. Holders have nothing to claim: each coin's burn share automatically buys the coin back and burns it, and the coin page shows the tokens burned. Details are in Creator fees and Buyback and burn.
