Graduation
What happens when a coin reaches 120 SOL: migration to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool with permanently locked liquidity.
A coin graduates when the SOL paid into its curve reaches the migration threshold of 120 SOL. At that point the virtual pool becomes a real pool.
What migrates
- SOL. The 120 SOL collected on the curve, less any migration fee (Halo sets none) goes into the new pool.
- Tokens. The 292 million tokens not sold on the curve (29.2% of supply) go into the new pool alongside the SOL.
- Price. The pool opens at the curve's final price, a market cap of about 411 SOL, so there is no jump between the curve and the pool.
The destination is Meteora's DAMM v2, the only migration target available to new DBC configurations.

Who triggers it
The migration is a normal transaction. The DBC SDK's migration instruction takes a payer and the pool address and needs no privileged signer, so any wallet can send it once the threshold is reached. Halo also runs a job that sends it promptly so coins do not sit waiting.
The liquidity position
All of the migrated liquidity is permanently locked, so neither Halo nor the creator can withdraw it. The position is split 50% to Halo's partner position and 50% to the coin's creator, and each can still claim the trading fees that position earns. The pool fee is 1.56%, collected in SOL, with no dynamic fee.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Destination | Meteora DAMM v2 |
| Pool fee | 1.56%, in SOL |
| Locked liquidity | 100%, permanent |
| Halo's share of the locked position | 50% |
| Creator's share of the locked position | 50% |
| Migration fee | none |
Why locked liquidity
Because the tokens and SOL in the pool cannot be withdrawn, nobody can withdraw the pool's liquidity. Prices still move with trading, and holders can still sell.
What changes for traders
Once a coin has graduated, its page keeps the curve history and links to Jupiter and DexScreener to trade the new pool; the app's own trade panel is for coins still on the curve. The pool charges the same 1.56% fee, with the liquidity positions split 50/50 between Halo and the creator. The coin's burn share continues after graduation: Halo claims the fees its locked position earns, in SOL, buys the coin through Jupiter and burns it. That path is built but has not yet been exercised on chain, so treat it as unproven until the first coin has graduated and the burns appear.
