Creator fees
Creators earn 0.5% of every trade on their coin, claimable by their own wallet.
The creator of a coin earns 0.4992% of that coin's trading volume, about 0.5%. It is part of the 1.56% fee (and of the launch tax in a coin's first moments) and is enforced by the DBC program itself.
How it is earned
The wallet that signs the launch transaction is recorded as the pool's creator. Each swap adds the creator's share to the pool's fee balance, in SOL. The share accrues on the curve and, after graduation, on the creator's half of the permanently locked liquidity position. See Graduation.
Claiming
Open the Rewards page with the wallet you launched from. It lists each of your coins with the amount you can claim. Choose Claim, approve the transaction, and the SOL is sent to your wallet. Halo never holds creator fees: the claim instruction is signed by your wallet and pays to an address you control.
You can claim at any time and as often as you like, so claiming early costs nothing but the network fee. The amount you can claim is read from the pool's on-chain fee metrics when you open the page.
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Share of trade volume | 0.4992% |
| Currency | SOL |
| Who signs the claim | You |
| Custody | On chain in the pool until you claim |
| Claimable | Any time after the first trade |
Example
A coin that trades 500 SOL of volume before graduating pays its creator about 2.5 SOL in fees. A coin that trades 5,000 SOL pays about 25 SOL. The amount depends only on volume, never on price.
If you launched from a wallet that you no longer control, the creator share belongs to that wallet. Halo cannot reassign it.
After graduation
On the DAMM v2 pool the creator holds 50% of the permanently locked liquidity position and earns its share of the pool's fee. Those fees are claimed with the creator's wallet from the position on Meteora's DAMM v2; the Rewards page lists the curve fees you can claim today.
